The Level 8, 9 and 10 Region 1 Championships were conducted this year at the Disneyland Hotel during the weekend of April 11. The meet also serves as a qualifying vehicle to J.O. Wildfire was one of just four teams participating who had no less then four athletes finishing as Regional All Around Champions. We were the only team from Southern California to achieve this. Wildfire, was as well, among just TWO teams of 100 with that rare distinction of having gymnasts culminating with AA wins at every level, they being Levels 8, 9 and 10. Again, Wildfire was, in this endeavor, the singular team representing SoCal.
